End User License Agreement (EULA)
This document is a work-in-progress draft. Final legal review is required before publishing.
This Agreement is a legally binding contract between you (the "User") and taproot (the "Developer") governing your use of each Addwave-branded software product (VST3/Audio Unit plugins, the "Software").
Grant of License
Subject to the terms of this Agreement, the Developer grants you the right to use the Software.
Number of Installations
Each license key may be installed and used on up to the number of computers stated on the respective product's page. This limit is counted automatically when the license key is activated.
Trial Mode
Without an activated license key, the Software runs in trial mode for the period stated on the respective product's page (core functionality is available, with a small number of features — such as preset save/load — excluded). Once the trial period ends, functionality is limited until a license key is activated.
Transfer of License
A purchased license may be transferred to a third party. To transfer a license, please contact [contact email address]. Once the transfer is complete, the original owner must stop using the Software and delete all copies in their possession. If you need your activation count reset (e.g. after replacing a computer), please contact the same address.
No Redistribution
You may not distribute the Software without the Developer's permission. This includes, but is not limited to, distribution as a magazine cover-disc item or on review sites. No license is granted to bundle and redistribute the Software within other software (e.g. games, DAWs).
Disclaimer of Liability
By installing the Software, you agree to use it at your own risk. The Developer is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Software.
Copyright
The Software, and all trade secrets, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights contained within it, belong to the Developer.
Addwave and individual product names (e.g. Looma™) are trademarks of taproot.
VST and VST3 are trademarks of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH.
Audio Unit is a trademark of Apple, Inc.
